GET ACTIVE IN THE HOLIDAYS:
MAY SCHOOL HOLIDAY
We want our children to have the best start in life and physical activity plays a key part in physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
We have a range of resources that you can use as part of your Holiday Activity with Food, or that you can share with young people and families, to encourage them to take part in physical activity during the holidays.
Why not try setting daily challenges using the resources or host virtual sessions delivering one of the activities. To help you we have created a list of activities for different ages and abilities that you can try each day. Select the day below to view the activities or use the linkboxes to view more resources that can be carried out at home.

Managing Challenging Behaviour – 30th June
This 2.5 hour workshop explores how Doorstep Sport can be used as an engagement tool to address social exclusion, anti-social behaviour and community tension and build stronger communities.
Participants learn the characteristics of ‘hard to reach’ young people and how to effectively engage with them. They are shown how to recognise the causes and triggers of anti-social behaviour and they explore the development of tools and skills that enable young people to take ownership of their issues and effectively manage challenging behaviour

5 Ways to Wellbeing – 28th July
This live 1.5-hour webinar is a great opportunity for you to spend a bit of time thinking about your wellbeing and the wellbeing of young people you work with during these very challenging times. The session will be based on the 5-ways to wellbeing and how we can make small changes in our lifestyles to look after ourselves and each other.
Come prepared to get involved in some fun, light-hearted activities that may be useful to use try out with other colleagues, youth groups and partners you are working with.
