ACTIVE 30 CAMPAIGN BOOKLET

The Active 30 campaign builds on the Active 30 programme to embed physical activity and wellbeing into young people’s lives.

ACTIVE AT HOME

Schools and parents / carers have a role to play in supporting children to move more throughout each day. The UK Chief Medical Officer’s guidelines provide recommendations on the frequency, intensity, duration and types of physical activity at different life stages, from early to later years.

GET ACTIVE IN THE HOLIDAYS

It's time to step away from the screen and get active in the holidays.

ACTIVE 30 SCHOOLS

The Government Childhood Obesity Plan has set out the ambition for all children to achieve 60 minutes of physical activity every day, with schools being responsible for delivering 30 of these active minutes. The Active 30 Durham Campaign aims to help schools in County Durham support every pupil to participate in 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity activity every day at school
