PRIMARY PE & SPORT PREMIUM

County Durham Sport are working closely to support primary schools to ensure their Primary PE and School Sport Premium is used to appropriately fund improvements to PE and School Sport provision.

Primary schools must use the annual funding from the Department for Education to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of the PE, physical activity and sport they provide. This means that you should use the PE and Sport Premium to either develop or add to the PE, physical activity and sport that a school provides, or build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining in future years.
